¤ 04 October 2005: Yokohama FC vice-president Hisao Sakamoto says that they have reached “a basic accord” with Sydney FC for Japanese international Kazuyoshi Miura to join the club as a guest player for four A-League games and the FIFA Club World Championship, to be held in Japan in December.[TWG]

Steve Corica returns to the starting lineup, with Ufuk Talay dropping to the bench in place of Matthew Bingley, who suffered a thigh strain.
