There's this "other event" on the day which is going to wipe literally thousands out from attending... ya know... Valentines Day.  I wonder if the club even realised.

And we should really be playing these games somewhere smaller, like Kogarah. We'd probably get exactly the same crowd.

Kogarah is a tidy little ground i can't see why it wouldn't meet AFC regulations if SFC fenced off the grassed areas.

Really doubt the club has much say in the scheduling of AFC games......

I’m actually super keen for tonight!!

A test to see if we’re actually a decent side or the other A-League teams are just shit.

I reckon we'll score twice in the second half.

This is their first competitive game and the 30 degrees will kill them.

Two things;

The club has zero say in when ACL games are played.

Kogarah wouldn't come close to meeting ACL requirements

Also Kogarah would be a rubbish after-work match-day experience compared to drinks+food in Paddington and Surry Hills, and a terrible trip home for anyone not on the southern line. Four trains an hour - unless you leave before full-time to reliably make it to the 21:39 train, you'll be catching the 21:55 which gets to Central at 22:19.

Lets face it. There is nothing anyone could do re. scheduling to bring more than 8k through the gates tonight, and arguably for any of the group games.

Forget it, and lets talk about the football. Looking forward to this tonight. More so than any other game in recent memory (excluding the GF).

Really couldn’t give a shit if we get sub 8k tonight. Those who really want to be there will come and the atmosphere that’s produced is better than when we pull 16k.

Looking forward to it too as we can see how we compare to other teams in Asia. Also this campaign we won't have the issues like last time where the team that qualified changed a lot compared to the team that actually went through the group stage.

$50K to cover the Allianz sign? 😂

Our tifo crew could probably do it for next to nothing.

My. What an attractive city Suwon is.

Suwon abounds with fascinating statues and tourist facilities.

Very excited for this one. Expecting the boys to run rings around them since it’s their preseason and atm it’s nearly 40 degrees. I reckon Arnie will go with the usual squad with Calver in place of Buijs. I don’t think we’ll see Warland get his first start but I could be wrong. Does anybody know Suwons best players and where they could damage this amazing team

Try the article linked to in the previous page.

Anyhow I'm a bit worried by our usual slow start. Thinking they may have the quality to hurt us, unlike the HAL popgun attacks. Tipping 1-1 because... just because.

I don't doubt the strictness of ACL requirements but Campbelltown Stadium was considered meet meet the ACL requirements when WSW were last in the comp, and I don't see Campbelltown as being a substantially superior facility to Kogarah.

This is a useful little summary of Suwon  https://www.fourfourtwo.com.au/news/acl-info-pack-suwon-bluewings-circle-fortress-allianz-484925

Thanks for that link. Sounds like they are quite reliant on older players.

How good is it to see a proper-sized bench?

Simon? Charles? Super Dave? Why can't we have them all?

Best part of that ACL line-up is the total lack of Zac Anderson.

Lets give this shit a shake.
