Cant find a thread for them. If Ive missed it point it out but:

Football Federation Australia (FFA) have ratified Adelaide United's sale to foreign investors worth $12 million, according to reports.

FFA confirmed to the Adelaide Advertiser that it has consented to the ownership change, which has been led by Dutchman Piet van der Pol.

Van der Pol is the current president of lower tier Chinese club Qingdao Red Lions based in Shandong province.

The Dutchman is partnered by Bruno Marveggio at Qingdao. Marveggio had already owned a 25 per cent stake in United.

United chairman Greg Griffin was at the helm of the ownership change in 2010 but will depart along with major shareholder Robert Gerard.

The new consortium is understood to consist of European businessmen with a company offer based in Hong Kong.

Greg Graffin will be a loss, sound bloke, hope he sticks around and gives it to FFA in some capacity.

Posted by: BlueRanger One thing thats easy to forget about Bobo's season is that he scored 15 goals.... while having to press for 70-80 minutes

Wasn't the Adelaide thread something along the lines of "Your son is a shit goalkeeper" or something like that?

If the HAL does get to run itself independently from the FFA then I wouldn't begrudge Greg Griffin being the head honcho (unless Tony P wants it). He seems like a good guy and Adelaide has been one of the more stable clubs over the last 10 years. Has always stood up to the FFA which is never a bad thing.
